National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWRiMo)

Who is Susabelle?

Susabelle KelmerSusabelle Kelmer is a mother, a wife, a geek, and a writer.

She started writing romance novels when she was twelve years old, all of which are still archived in a battered, dusty binders hidden away in the basement.  Most of the stories had a beginning, some had a middle, and none had endings.

Along came college, and then marriage and children, and writing was forgotten.  In the late 1990's, she began writing a personal blog, before blogging was "in," recording some of the humorous and not-so-humorous parts of life as a single mom, and her eventual marriage to her Knight in Shining Armor.  By 2003, she heard about and joined in an adventure in writing known as National Novel Writing Month.  In November, 2003, she wrote the first rough draft of her life that included a beginning, middle, and end.  The 50,000-word challenge of National Novel Writing Month produced a novel of 96,000 words written in 23 days.

That story became Second Chances, her first completed, published novel, released in 2005.  Two more novels followed, and others are in the works.

Susabelle lives in the midwest with her Knight in Shining Armor, her two daughters, and two snooty cats.
